Frequently Asked Questions

  • I handbuild all of my pieces! Meaning I do not use a wheel for my work. I use coil, slab, and pinch methods for my pieces. Because of this, there will be variations from piece to piece. I love a perfectly wonky pot, it gives such life and character to the work and makes each piece unique!

  • Made to order pieces are not pieces I keep an active inventory of, but make as I receive orders for them. The turn around time for these is 6-8 weeks! All made-to-orders will be specifically marked. Any pieces that ARE READY to ship out will NOT have this indication in the title!

  • As of now, shipping cost is a flat fee of $10, with the exception of necklaces/ornaments!

Local Pickup IS an option and will always be free! When local pickup is selected, I will reach out via email when the order is ready to set a time and date with you!

  • I do not accept returns or refunds, but would be happy to figure out an exchange you would be happy with!

  • I take pride in packing pieces as securely as possible, but mistakes can happen once it leaves my hands! Please take pictures and email them to crowleyceramics@gmail as soon as you can, I will work with you on a replacement!

  • All food-related pieces (mugs, plates, etc.) will be food safe, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe, due to the high temps in firing!

Pieces that are glazed will be food safe as well as dishwasher safe. Unglazed pieces will not be. I will never leave a food-related piece unglazed — only decor items will be left unglazed and can be hand-washed!

For ease, I will also give this info in all product descriptions.

I always recommend reading the FAQ;s before purchases to make sure my work is the right fit for you!
